What we do with your email address

Short version: we keep the address you gave us so we can send you the letter, one company delivers it, nobody buys the list, and one click ends it.

What we store

Your email address, the name you type if you type one, and the date you subscribed. That record lives in Ghost, the publishing software this site runs on, installed on a server we rent and administer ourselves. There is no third-party marketing platform behind it.

Who else sees it

The letter is delivered by Mailgun, which receives your address in order to send the mail and to handle bounces and unsubscribes. Nobody else. We do not sell the list, rent it, or share it with advertisers, and there is no advertising or third-party analytics installed on this site.

What is tracked

Ghost records whether a letter was opened and which links in it were clicked. We use it for one thing: to see which items were worth the space. It is aggregate reading, not a profile, and it is not passed to anyone. If you would rather not be counted, most mail clients block the open pixel by default, and blocking it costs you nothing here.

Cookies

Signing in to your account sets a cookie so the site remembers you between pages. That is the only cookie we set. Reading the site signed out sets none.

Leaving

Every letter carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and the sending stops. If you want the record deleted rather than just unsubscribed, write to hello@nozzlecheck.com and it goes, along with the open and click history attached to it.
